Nintendo Switch Needs More Storage

Nintendo Switch Needs More Storage

Source – The Nintendo Switch’s hardware specifications arched some eyebrows when it was revealed that, once again, Nintendo was launching a console with a shrimpy 32 GB of flash memory on board. Now we know what it really means to a user. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild requires 13.4 GB of storage space if it is downloaded to the Nintendo Switch. That is a little under half of the internal capacity of Nintendo’s new console.

First off, this might be my fourth or fifth post on the Switch this week. Sorry, but it’s kinda a dead time for video gaming to begin with. Besides the big Nintendo Switch announcement, there hasn’t been much to run with. That being said…

This is a little disconcerting. That’s not a lot of stuff that you can put on the original hard drive. This also seems to play into Nintendo’s pricing on all the units. People have already started to complain about the limit availability of units and of the pricing of more controllers and pieces. I would not be surprised if Nintendo rolled out some hard drive extensions or if we see Nintendo Switch Pro Deluxe Supreme with 1 TB in the future.
